This time three Hobbits arrived from Brazil. No ordinary purchase, but an old-fashioned barter trade.
Rafael Pereira da Silva also collects Harry Potter in as many languages as possible and had three Hobbits for exchange.

No less than five new Hobbits arrived during the last two weeks. The Netherlands (and certainly I) suffered from temperatures above 32 degrees celsius.
First there are three (modern) Chinese Hobbits, amongst them the possibly most beautifully illustrated Hobbit: The Catlin Hobbit (yes, even in China!). Also very interesting: the one with Bilbo and the eagle happens to be the FIRST AUTHORISIZED CHINESE EDITION! And .. the 1993 Chinese Hobbit is a Pirate edition. (Thanks to Brigitte from Germany these Hobbits are now in my collection).

And then there are two Hobbits from Turkey, bought from Pandora: The Annotated Hobbi 2014 and The Hobbit 80 years 2017.

This Hobbit might look like two Hobbits that already are in my collection (Eng 12 and Eng 99), but no. There is a difference:
on the spine of the book there is that little Tolkien dragon. Eng 12: in yellow, Eng 99: in red and Eng 160 (this Hobbit): in orange.
And yes, this Hobbit has the HC logo in white and not in silver, just like on the front cover.

It is not my custom to buy special bindings from books. Yet I made an exception for The Hobbit in Latin, in leather bound by Handbuchbinderei Anna Kabs from Weidenthal – Germany.
The book is really beautifully bound with Bilbo by Dutch illustrator Cor Blok on the cover. The content of the book is equal to the first edition (2012) of The Hobbit in Latin.
